A4Desk Flash Photo Gallery Builder is a nice flash album creation tool. It allows you to create photo galleries exported to an SWF file that you can then upload to your website. The application comes preloaded with several templates that you can try out.
In all honesty, this app couldn't be any easier to use. You first choose one of the many templates that come with this app and then add your own pictures. That is pretty much all you have to do to create a functional web album. Of course, there are many options to improve the final product.
Most of the templates have different pages, with which you can divide your pictures into groups. You can delete the different pages and use a single-page album if you want, though. Photos are added via the "add photo" button. You can add many photos at a time and you can preview them before adding them. Once all your pictures are added, you can change the text in the template and publish it.
When you publish a gallery, you will have an HTML file along with a folder with all your pictures and the necessary Flash files. There is a nice window after you publish that helps you upload this to your website and preview the gallery. There is FTP support for those who need it. If you want to embed the gallery into your website, you can either copy the HTML code that is provided for you or follow a simple wizard.
The quality of the gallery is good. Of course, it is not very personal since all the templates are very generic. The flash galleries are very responsive and you can browse through pictures easily. |
